* Do I need a fishing license?

Absolutely, if your between the ages of 18-64. If you don't have a license, there are three ways to get one.

Indiana fish and wildlife

When casting for stripers, wipers and muskies We supply top of the line Abu-Garcia & Okuma bait cast and spinning reels .

When trolling for stripers, wipers and muskies We use top of the line Diawa-Sealine and Abu-Garcia reels.

In the spring, early summer and fall we do a great deal of casting lures along with our live bait fishing.

Do I have to cast lures?

You don't necessarily have to cast lures. We always have live baits out working for you. However, casting lures can increase your hookups and besides it can be some of the most exciting fishing you will experience especially when using topwaters.

Can I bring my own rod and reel?

Yes, if you have a rod & reel set-up you feel comfortable with, your more than welcome to bring it. Just let us know in advance, so we can suggest any modifications you might need to do, such as line test. (No need to go hunt grizzly bears with a BB gun if you know what I mean).

Practice, if you feel you're a little rusty at casting I highly recommend you get some practice in before you arrive at the water. I would like you to feel comfortable casting a 1-3oz lure thirty to forty yards.

Let us know what you feel more comfortable using. Bait casting or spinning reels are available. Just us know in advance so we can have your outfits rigged and waiting on the boat when you arrive.

What kind of reels do you prefer?

Casting (closed face) or spinning reels (open face), as long as they have a good drag system they both are fine. If they don't have a good drag system a striper or wiper will point it out to you real quick!

What about spincast reels (closed face reels)?

I don't recommend using spin cast reels when fishing for stripers, wipers or muskie. These fish could possibly make the reel explode!

*How many fish can I keep?

Striped Bass & Hybrid Striped Bass Limits

*When fishing for striped bass you are allowed 2 fish per angler. There is NO size limit for striped bass in Indiana.

*Hybrid striped bass (wipers) 12 fish per person. With NO more than two fish exceeding 17inches per angler.

*Catfish Limits

Channel & Blue Catfish: 10 per angler. Please note: That all channel & blue catfish 10lbs or over are to be released from our boats.

Flathead catfish: Mandatory Release

*Muskie: Mandatory Release

*What if we catch our limit early is the trip over?

Yes it is. When ALL limits for the targeted fish are accomplished. The mission is over.

*Who cleans the fish?

We do. We can gut, fillet and bag your catch, and will probably give you a few cooking preps & recipes too.

Make sure to bring something to bring your fish home in. In the event you boat a "wallhanger" your going to want to have something to put a large fish in. Large coolers are your best bet especially during the warmer months, as you will need for your fish to stayed chilled during transport. Please remember to leave larger coolers in your vehicle. It allows more freedom of movement in the boat for everyone.

*Do we stop for lunch or fish straight through?

We can stop and take a break if you like. However a majority, prefer to eat and fish through.

*How do I book and pay you?

First, it starts with a phone call to check for preferred and available dates. Booking Tip: The absolute earliest you book your trip the chances of getting your preferred dates are greatly increased. Once a date is set I require a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to lock in your date. Balance to be paid at the end of the trip .
We accept personal checks for deposits only. Balances are to be paid in cash. Personal checks can only be accepted by repeat-guest.

*What if I have to cancel?

It Happens. If you must cancel or re-schedule here's how, and it's easy. Please just call or email me and let me know ASAP. I often have guest on hold, waiting for a cancellation. Then it works out and everyone is happy.

*How many people can you take on a trip?

I will accommodate up to 4 anglers.

*Where do we meet and what time?

Majority of the trips start in the early morning. However, keep in mind that times can vary due to fish activity. (Don't want to start fishing at 6:00 am when the bite is at 5:00pm)
